Feature Film Casting
We are hosting an ONLINE open call for Honeyjoon - a feature film shooting in October 28 - December 6, 2024, in São Miguel, Azores. We will consider anyone who submits whether or not you have acting experience!
We are seeking people of all ages, genders and ethnicities, who speak either Portuguese, English or both! It does not matter if you have never acted before. This is a chance to work on a professional film set. This is a paid opportunity.

What if I’ve never acted before?
That is fine! We are looking for real, authentic people.
I’m under 18 years old, can I still submit?
Yes, but only with the permission of your parent or guardian.
When should I submit my audition by?
As soon as possible! We are currently casting.
When will I know if I am cast?
We are currently casting on a rolling basis, so we cannot give you an exact date. If we are interested in you, you will hear from production — we promise!
Will I get paid? How much?
It depends on the role and on your experience.
Where do I need to live to be considered?
We are seeking people who live in Europe and can speak either English or Portuguese, or both. No roles are required to speak perfect English! We are also very interested in people who live in São Miguel, in the Azores.
What is the movie about?
In this darkly comedic travel film, Kurdish-Persian mother Lela and her curvy American daughter June take a trip to the romantic Azores off the Portuguese coast, after a recent loss. Out of place amidst honeymooners in paradise, they attempt to reclaim their lust for living. But life – and each other – keeps getting in their way.
